Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board is responsible for the management of the annual yatra which is taken by lakhs of devotees. The SASB or Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board was created by an Act of the J & K legislature in the year 2000. The governor of the state of J & K acts as the ex officio chairman of the board. Besides the governor it has got 7 other members. According to the latest information the name of the chairman and members if following:

The CEO of the Board is Navin K Chaudhary who is a senior IAS officer.
The board has been working consistently to improve the overall amenities for the pilgrims. It is because of the efforts of members and officials that each camping site is having the facility of search lights and all of the sites are fenced by barbed wires. Now the facility of toilet, shelter is available after each 2-3 km distance. It is just because of the efforts of the board that there has been consistent rise in the number of pilgrims.
